Chicago Open Air Poises Itself to Become the Midwest’s Premier Festival in it’s Sophomore Year

Continuing on the success of 2016 Danny Wimmer, Live Nation, and Toyota Park have teamed up again to bring fans one of the biggest rock music festivals in the country, Open Air Chicago.

On July 14th three days of face melting metal will take possession of Toyota Park and proclaim your right to rock! Heavy hitters like Ozzy, Kiss, Rob Zombie, Korn, Slayer, Godsmack and much more will defend metal to its core.

Friday night kicks off with Americas greatest rock band, Kiss. Celebrating over 40 years in the music industry Kiss is a bucket list show for everyone. With great openers like Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Slayer, and much more Friday has all the makings of a great event alone.

Saturdays headliner Korn returns for their second year at Chicago Open Air. They will certainly bring in huge crowds, along with Godsmack, Seether, Clutch and the hilarious but awesome band Steel Panther.

Sunday wouldn’t be complete without the prince of darkness Ozzy Osbourne who is back on tour with legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde. The reunion of Ozzy and Zakk adds just a little more crazy to an already off the rail lineup for Sunday. Slayer, Stone Sour, Lamb of God, Amon Amarth, Behemoth and Hell Yeah all perform Sunday with many other in the lineup as well.

2017 Chicago Open Air will undoubtedly be one of the best three-day metal music festivals in the country. In addition to the fantastic lineup plenty of craft beer and “gourmet man food” will be available all weekend. Limited tickets are still available but going fast…
